On Monday 23rd March, our Year 3 pupils enjoyed a wonderful trip to Roundhouse Library where they took part in a special library event with bestselling children’s author Helen Stephens.
The session gave pupils the opportunity to meet a real author and illustrator. Helen shared stories about how she creates her books, talked about the inspiration behind her characters, and showed the children how ideas can turn into exciting stories and illustrations.
During the event, pupils listened to readings, asked thoughtful questions about writing and drawing, and even had the chance to take part in some creative activities of their own. It was a fantastic way to bring reading and storytelling to life and encourage our children to explore their own imagination.
The visit was a brilliant experience for everyone involved. Our pupils represented the school beautifully and showed great enthusiasm throughout the session.
We would like to thank Roundhouse Library for hosting the event and Helen Stephens for such an engaging and inspiring visit.
Experiences like this help nurture a love of reading and creativity, and we look forward to organising more opportunities like this for our pupils in the future.
